Description

  • onyx, diamond, ruby, emerald, platinum
Designed as a panther with a rotating head and articulated limbs, pavé-set with round diamonds, buff-top onyx and pear-shaped emerald eyes, sitting within an onyx hoop, suspended from a line of round diamonds highlighted with cabochon rubies, length 16½ inches, signed Cartier, numbered 87857A, with French assay and workshop marks.

Condition

In very good condition, with little sign of wear to the mounting, besides a very small separation which is visible between the onyx ring and the mounting; this does not affect wearability and is only visible from the reverse side, under close inspection. Signed Cartier and numbered 87857A. Stamped Pt950 and with French assay marks for platinum. Clasp tongue with French workshop mark. The round diamonds, weighing a total of approximately 11.00 carats, are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The 12 cabochon rubies are medium-deep slightly purplish red and eye-clean. The two pear-shaped emeralds are a nicely saturated green color. The onyx is in very good condition. Clasp closes securely and is fitted with a safety closure.
