Centering an oval-shaped sapphire weighing 18.47 carats, accented by French-cut diamonds, size 6, with French assay mark.

Condition

In good condition, light to moderate wear to the setting. The small central prongs above the French cut diamonds show evidence of solder/repair with one prong tip deficient. Stamped with a French assay mark for platinum. The sapphire is a nicely saturated medium-deep slightly violetish and slightly included, with one extremely shallow feather extending under the table and a few minute crystals scattered just under the pavilion surface. Some evidence of minor color zoning when viewing the stone face up. The diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.40 carat, are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1086879 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
