Composed of graduated wave-shaped links of openwork design, set at the front with an emerald-cut emerald weighing approximately 2.55 carats, accented by 26 smaller emerald-cut emeralds weighing approximately 5.75 carats, further set with variously-cut diamonds weighing approximately 40.00 carats, length 14 inches, signed Cartier Mtg, numbered 55-55512; circa 1960. With signed and fitted box.

Condition

In good condition. The central emerald is a medium very slightly bluish green, moderately included. The remaining emeralds are well-matched for color, a medium-light green, moderately to heavily included, with several examples showing surface-reaching inclusions and chipping to the girdles. The old European, old mine, baguette, tapered baguette, single and square-cut diamonds are approximately H-J color, predominantly VS clarity with several VVS and SI examples. Number may possibly be 55-55312. Fitted with a safety closure.
