Designed as two feathers, pavé-set with oval, cushion-shaped and circular-cut rubies, the sides highlighted with brilliant-cut diamonds, inner circumference approximately 160mm, signed Michele della Valle, Italian assay and maker's marks, pouch stamped Michele della Valle.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 92876, stating that the ten tested rubies weighing from 0.09 to 0.76 carats, measuring from 2.68 x 2.72 x 1.64mm to 5.89 x 4.43 x 3.18mm, are of Burmese origin, eight with no indications of heating, two with indications of heating, one with a minor amount of oil in fissures, the 0.22 carat stone of 'pigeon blood' colour. Also accompanied by Gübelin report no. 17030090, stating that a majority of the rubies are of Burmese origin, some with no indications of heating, some with indications of heating. Signed Michele Della Valle, Italian maker's mark. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Rubies stated to weigh a total of approximately 102.00 carats, red to purplish red of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, small scratches, nicks and cavities.
