Amethyst and pink sapphire necklace, 'Hawaï', Van Cleef & Arpels

The necklace of gas pipe linking, the front composed of three detachable floral motifs set with oval amethysts and circular-cut pink sapphires, may be worn as a brooch and a pair of ear clips, length approximately 435mm, each piece signed VCA or Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Necklace signed Van Cleef & Arpels, brooch and each ear clip signed VCA, each piece numbered BL64579, French maker's marks. Each piece with French assay marks and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Necklace and each ear clip with Swiss import marks. Amethyst well matched in color, purple, with good transparency, minor colour banding, small scratches and abrasions. Sapphires pink of medium saturation, with typical inclusions visible under close inspection, minor scratches. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with use. Clasps secure on the necklace and brooch, safety catches. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 90 grams.
