Attractive emerald and diamond clip, Cartier, circa 1930

Of shield shape, set with a sugarloaf emerald and a cushion-shaped diamond weighing 4.39 carats, accented with step-cut emeralds, circular-, single, square-cut and baguette diamonds, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay mark, case stamped Cartier.

Accompanied by GIA report no. 5181380494, stating that the cushion modified brilliant-cut diamond weighing 12.62 x 9.05 x 4.87mm, is D Colour, SI1 Clarity, with a type IIa classification letter. Signed Cartier, numbered 7458C. French assay mark for platinum. Inscribed MADE IN FRANCE, BTE SGDB, DEPOSE and Reymond. For more information on the central diamond, please refer to the GIA report. Sugarloaf emerald measuring approximately 10.50 x 11.00 x 6.90mm, green of medium strong saturation, with typical surface-reaching inclusions, scratches, abrasions and small nicks. Remaining emeralds well matched in colour. Remaining near colourless diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 12.50 - 14.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Scratches to the metal consistent with use. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 44 grams.
