Composed as a line of geometric links set with calibré-cut rubies, alternating with baguette diamonds, the front set with rock crystal cabochons further accented with collet-set brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 450mm, signed Michele della Valle, numbered, maker's mark.
Condition
Signed Michele della Valle, numbered 1167, maker's mark for Michele della Valle. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold, mounted in white gold. Rock crystal cabochons measuring approximately 28.50 x 24.75 x 16.75mm, 28.55 x 25.05 x 17.40mm, 28.15 x 23.45 x 13.70mm and 27.80 x 22.95 x 14.42mm, with good transparency, small typical inclusions visible under close inspection. Rubies well matched in colour, red, with minor abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.00 - 6.00 carats, on average H-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Small signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with light use. Clasp secure, safety catch slightly difficult to operate. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 174 grams.
