Description

  • Emerald, ruby, diamonds, gold
Designed as a bird perched on a branch, set with a cushion-shaped emerald, the head decorated with a cabochon ruby, the neck and wings accented with single-cut diamonds, the branch with a fancy-shaped diamond, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Signed Cartier Paris, numbered 09981, French maker's marks for Cartier. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Emerald measuring approximately 14.96 x 11.91 x 4.70mm, calculated to weigh approximately 5.00 carats, green of medium saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface-reaching, small scratches and nicks, chips to the girdle. Cabochon ruby translucent, red, with surface-reaching inclusions, small scratches. Diamonds bright and lively. Evidence of wear to the metal consistent with age and wear. Clasp secure, safety catch. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 13 grams.
