Designed as a line of slightly graduated brilliant-cut diamonds, the front set with cushion-shaped sapphires highlighted with brilliant-cut diamonds, supporting five detachable motifs similarly set, length approximately 380mm, unsigned, numbered, French assay marks, French maker's mark for Van Cleef & Arpels, .

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 91547, stating that the four oval to cushion-shaped sapphires weighing 3.26, 3.75, 6.63 and 7.96 carats, measuring 11.25 x 7.68 x 4.36mm, 11.25 x 7.78 x 4.79mm, 12.73 x 9.44 x 5.84mm, and 13.81 x 11.09 x 5.90mm, are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Numbered G51G CS, French maker's mark for Van Cleef & Arpels. French assay marks for platinum and gold, stamped OR for gold. Sapphires well matched in colour, blue of medium strong to strong saturation, with typical inclusions, small abrasions, scratches and nicks. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 40.00 - 45.00 carats, on average F-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Little signs of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 89 grams.
