Description

  • Sapphires, diamonds, gold
Comprising: a necklace composed of pavé-set brilliant-cut diamond links, the front set with oval sapphires, length approximately 375mm, a bracelet, length approximately 185mm, and a pair of ear clips, each signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, fitted case signed Cartier.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 89383, no. 89386, no. 89385, and no. 89384, stating that the four sapphires weighing 3.08, 3.33, 4.29 and 4.70 carats, and measuring 10.71 x 8.09 x 3.80mm, 9.15 x 7.30 x 5.91mm, 10.63 x 9.05 x 4.70mm and 11.32 x 8.52 x 5.09mm respectively, are of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.Each piece signed Cartier, necklace numbered 603012, bracelet numbered 605117, each ear clip numbered 605118, French assay marks. Each piece except the ear clips with French maker's marks for Edouard Blondeau, 23 Rue Le Pelletier, 75009 Paris. Sapphires well matched in colour, blue of medium strong saturation, with good transparency, typical inclusions visible under 10x magnification, small abrasions. For further details on the sapphires, please refer to the gemmological reports. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 38.00 - 40.00 carats, on average G-H, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with use. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 247 grams. Case stamped Cartier, damaged.
