Pair of emerald, onyx and diamond earrings, 'Panthère', Cartier

Each surmount designed as a panther atop an onyx hoop, the body pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds highlighted with cabochon onyx, the eyes embellished with pear-shaped emeralds, supporting a fringe of brilliant-cut diamonds and drop shaped emeralds, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, post and hinged back fittings, case stamped Cartier.

Each signed Cartier, numbered 34396C, French maker's marks. French assay marks and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Emeralds well matched in colour, green of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, small scratches. Onyx in overall good condition. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.00 - 3.50 carats, on average F-G colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of wear and small scratches to the metal. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 44 grams. Case signed Cartier.
