- Coral, Diamond, Rock-Crystal, Mother-of-Pearl, Enamel, White Gold
Designed as a basket of flowers, embellished with single- and circular-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.30 carats in total, highlighted with carved coral leaf, red and black enamel, to the carved rock crystal vase with mother-of-pearl backing, mounted in white gold and platinum, signed Cartier, circa 1925, case stamped Cartier.
Condition
Signed Cartier, mounted in white gold and platinum as tested. Rock crystal with minor chips at the edges and some hairline scratches. White mother-of-pearl with some minor scratches and two surface fissures. Coral of opaque light pinkish orange body colour with a tiny opening on the surface and a white patch at the base. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 1.30 carats in total, mainly H to J colour, SI to I1 clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount.
Red and black enamel with some chips; the border with some missing black enamel and shows evidence of retouched. Signs of wear to the metal commensurate with age, with scratches, solder marks and two minor fractures. The brooch fitting may be later-added. Case stamped Cartier.
