Condition

Unexamined out of frame. The work consists of three or four sheets of paper which have been joined and adhered to a supportive backing. The sheets have slightly come apart in places, leaving a small gap between them. The sheets slightly undulate, largely in keeping with the medium, and there is some minor cockling. There is a crease, or possible join, running vertically down the central sheet, with one very small nick to the paper. There is a spot of rubbing with resultant loss to the third tree trunk from the left edge. There are some scratches to the surface, in keeping with the Artist's working methods. There is some time staining and adhesive staining to the sheet. There is some minor surface dirt and detritus apparent. This excepting the work appears to be in good overall condition. The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a painted and gilt wooden frame. The sheet may possibly be adhered to the glass in places. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
