Condition

Unexamined out of frame. There are some very fine lines of craquelure running horizontally throughout the picture, most prominent to the upper half. There are a number of scratches to the surface of the work, in keeping with the Artist's working methods. There is some very light surface dirt throughout. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a small spot of fluorescence to the centre of the right hand edge, which might be in line with varnish discolouration. The work is held behind plexiglass in a painted wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
