Condition

Original canvas. The canvas is sound. There are two small spots of dirt in the upper left quadrant and there is a very light layer of surface dirt to the work. There is a tiny spot of loss to a tip of the impasto in the lower right corner. Subject to the above the work is in excellent overall condition, with strong impasto elements. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals areas of florescence in keeping with the Artist's materials, but otherwise no obvious signs of restoration or retouching. The work is held within a simple gilt wood frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
