Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There are a few fine lines of craquelure apparent in the sky in places. There are a few tiny losses to the impasto tips in one or two places. There is a further tiny loss to the green in the lower right corner, one to the brown earth in the lower centre, and two spots of loss to the bushes in the centre of the composition. There is some surface dirt and a few specks of matter to the work in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is presented in a gilded and painted moulded frame.
