Condition

The sheet has been fully laid down onto a backing card. There are some old repaired tears to the sheet, including to the edges, most apparent at the lower right corner and the right vertical edge, with some further old repaired tears to the largest figure's right leg, to the right of the largest figure's head, and with one tear running through the middle figure's arm and leg, and the child's face. There is a small nick to the sheet towards the left side of the upper edge, and also towards the lower side of the right edge. There are some handling marks and creases apparent to the sheet. There are some air pockets as a result of the sheet being laid down. There is some discolouration to the sheet and there are some small, minor spots of foxing in one or two places. There is some light surface dirt and studio detritus in places. The work is floated within a window mount, and held within a simple painted black wooden frame, held under glass.
