The board appears sound. There are two instances of craquelure to the blue pigment in the upper right quadrant, with one or two tiny flecks of associated loss, and a further minor instance of craquelure, loss and rubbing to a raised impasto element in the bright blue pigment to the top of the tent at the lower right edge. There is some rubbing to some of the raised impasto elements in places. There are several very small specks of loss to the yellow pigment at the left edge, and a spot of loss to the blue-grey pigment at the lower edge, with one or two further possible specks of loss elsewhere. There is some surface dirt and studio detritus to the work in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is presented in a painted wooden frame.
