Condition
The board appears sound.
There are some minor inconsistencies to the board, visible upon close inspection, and thought to be in keeping with the nature of the Artist's materials and techniques. There are a few minor light scuffs and very faint scratches visible upon closer inspection, most noticeable to the black. There are one or two very minor light rubs to raised areas of the impasto, only visible upon extremely close inspection, and very light traces of surface dirt. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals some speckles, but these are not thought to be retouching. Due to the nature of the gloss paint, the pigments are inherently difficult to read under ultraviolet light.
Housed in a thin white wooden frame, set within a thinner slip frame and linen-textured mount, with the edges not visible. Unexamined out of frame.
