Condition
The sculpture appears to be sound. There is a slight old loss to the plaster at the rear of the mouth level; with some very slight smaller losses to the nose at lower and middle levels; and a small nick to the forehead. The surface of the sculpture is slightly uneven, in keeping with the artist's technique and material. There appears to be some minor surface dirt, most evident in the pits. The work has a small integral white plaster plinth, and a larger dark wooden bespoke base.
