Condition

Pitchfork on Green (left): The canvas appears to be original and unlined. There is a slight instance of craquelure to the left of the fork, and a further to the bottom right corner by the edge with some instances of matter. There are some light scuffs to the edges of the canvas, most noticeable around the upper two corners. There is one further small scuff and some extremely light staining to the green, to the left of the lower section of the fork. There are some extremely small accretions evident. Subject to the above the work is in very good overall condition. Pitchfork on Pink (right): The canvas appears to be original and unlined. There are some very light scuffs to the edges of the canvas, most noticeable around the top two corners. There is an extremely faint mark at the upper edge, in the upper right quadrant. Subject to the above the work is in overall excellent condition. Inspection of Pitchfork on Green under ultra violet light reveals an extremely light area of fluorescence in the lower left quadrant, next to the pitchfork most probably a very light water stain. Pitchfork on Pink reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or restoration. Both works are unframed.
