Condition

The board appears to be sound and stable. There are multiple instances of a light pattern of craquelure which has resulted in some tiny losses. The paint surface is uneven in the upper right quadrant. There are several very small nicks and tiny losses in the surface of the board. There is evidence of some surface matter and studio detritus. Subject to the above the work is in overall good condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals an area of fluorescence and possible retouching the upper left quadrant, together with further instances of fluorescence which appear in keeping with the artist's technique and medium.
