Condition
The board appears sound. To all four edges the nails adhering the board to the frame are visible through the paint, with a couple of resultant specks of loss. Some minor surface dirt and studio detritus is visible. There is some reticulation visible to the upper edge, and throughout the dark blue in particular towards the right edge. Subject to the above the work is in overall very good condition. Ultra violet inspection reveals no obvious signs of restoration or retouching.
The work is held in an simple wooden strip frame.
