Condition

The sheet is secured to the front of the mount with adhesive tape in all four corners and is secured by the backboard which is in turn secured to the mount with adhesive tape to all four edges. The sheet is unevenly cut at all four edges. the work has previously been removed form a backboard to which it was adhered, and this has resulted in two areas of loss to the back of the top edge, which in turn has resulted in a visible crack to the paper in the centre of the top left. There is one very tiny scuff to the charcoal in the upper left quadrant. There are a number of scratches to the surface in keeping with the artist's technique. There is a small crease in the upper right corner. There is light surface dirt and a small amount of studio detritus and matter visible, together with some staining to the sheet. Subject to the above the work is in overall good condition. The work is window mounted and held behind glass, and presented in a simple wooden frame.
