Catalogue Note
First Aldine edition. The first colophon, at the end of the Thebaid, is dated November, and the second is dated August. In his preface to Marcus Musurus, at the front of the Orthographia, Aldus mentions that as a boy, he heard Domizio Calderini lecturing in Rome.
