Rabbi Menasseh ben Israel established the first Hebrew press in Amsterdam. From 1643-1645, the printing press was leased to Elijah Aboab and therefore his name appears on the title page of this book. However, even during those years, Rabbi Menasseh ben Israel continued to be involved at the press as a corrector and an author.
