Catalogue Note
The first Aldine edition, with prefaces by Pietro Bembo (dated Rome, November 1513) and the editor Giovanni Giocondo to Leo X, and a note by Aldus to the reader on the division of days and hours according to Palladius. Giocondo earned 10 ducats for his work on this book, as well as ten copies of it.
