Meyer's wonderfully hand-coloured book on British birds. This is a mixed set uniformly bound: volume 1, 2 published by G.W. Nickisson, volume 3-6 by Simpkin, Marshall & Co., and volume 7 by Willis and Sotheran. The preface in volume one is dated 1852.
