Catalogue Note
This selection of speeches by Gregory includes two condemning his contemporary, Julian the Apostate, as well as the funeral oration for St Basil; all three had studied in Athens together. In the preface, the editor Marcus Musurus comments on the inability of Andrea Torresani to take the intellectual place of Aldus.
