- 'The Chase'. Four snuff boxes in different materials, 18th/19th century
- enamel, mother of pearl, papier mache, silver-gilt
- 7-9 cm., 2 3/4 - 3 1/2 in. wide
rectangular decorated with stag hunts, the first enamel on copper, gilt-metal mounts, German, late 18th century; another, painted papier maché, German, early 19th century; the third, parcel-gilt silver with bright-cut ornament, inset with an earlier mother of pearl panel carved with Diana and Actaeon, circa 1800; and another, faience, French, late 19th century in earlier taste
