Catalogue Note

A FINE AND RARE WRITING MANUAL by the Lübeck writing master and arithmetic teacher, Arnold Möller, who later moved to Nuremberg (he includes in this volume a portrait and biography of the Nuremberg writing master Johann Neudörffer; see lot 170). Each volume seems to have been composed differently, partly sharing plates and text with Möller's Schreib-Kunst-Spiegel (Doede 60). It has also been suggested that Möller's books were printed in Nuremberg rather than Lübeck.
