Chancery folio (282 x 198mm.), 453 leaves (of 454, without final blank), A-B8 C-Z a-l8.6 M8 n-y8.6 z [et]8 aa-hh6.8 ii-ll6 [ii-iiii]8 [v-vii]6 A8 B-E6, double column, 46-48 lines, gothic type, 3- to 9-line initials supplied in red, red paraphs and initial strokes, woodcut illustrations (some full page, most with colour washes), some with manuscript captions in German, a remboitage of contemporary stamped pigskin over wooden boards, two clasps, some show-through from colour, some greens faded to brown, a composite copy, resewn with new pastedowns
