Model 'Delphos'

A pale blue pleated silk shift edged with glass Murano beads and a matching stencilled belt, with a silk gauze bat sleeve tunic

Condition

A Mariano Fortuny pale blue silk 'Delphos' and stencilled gauze over-tunic, circa 1920, with narrow tape label to the interior, edged with clear glass Murano beads striped in mauve, with matching stencilled belt; the grey gauze tunic stencilled to shape with old-gold renaissance style pomegranites and palmettes, edged in striped cord and brown glass Murano beads. Fair condition, the pleats have fallen out on both sides, fading/discoloration at neck edge and underarms, also faint yellow patches down the body of the dress. Hem has been slightly shortened but done extremely well. Belt is missing closure beads but can be tied.Tunic is in good condition. Length of the dress approx 61 in, length of the tunic approx 47 in.
