A fine pair of Roger Vivier for Christian Dior, a fine pair of embroidered evening shoes, 1955-57, the uppers of ivory satin overlaid with silver tulle, embroidered with blooms and bows in coloured metal strip and wire threads, appliqued with shocking pink and yellow tulle , 26cm, 10in long
There are brown glue residue marks at the front point of the vamp on each shoe where perhaps a jewel or other adornment was originally pasted. Very slight rubbing to the tulle on the toe tips but minor, the colours are good, the soles show the shoes have been worn very little, the colours are wonderful and the heels in particular are fine.
