cylindrical with flaring rim and moulded reeded foot, the body engraved P over IR, the curved spout with heart-shaped aperture, and with reeded double-scroll handle

excess solder at handle terminals, handle starting to split at both terminals, spout pushed in a little and excess solder near top, some excess solder around base on underside, otherwise good condition

Moody Russell (1694-1761) was the son of Jonathan and Martha (Moody) Russell, brother of Joseph, apprenticed to his uncle Edward Winslow, deacon of Barnstaple church in 1740, his nephew Jonathan Otis may have been apprenticed to him.
