of bombé cylindrical form with oval embossed cartouche and acanthus borders, the body decorated with six ceramic medallions painted with female busts within embossed and chased foliate acanthus centering a large oval cartouche on the front, urn form finial, the horn handle carved in the form of a goat's head

Iris Schwartz called this piece, "The Old Goat and his Ladies".

one medallion chipped at edge, hinge pin missing, ?engraving removed from cartouche, otherwise good condition
