Catalogue Note

William B. Meyers (1887-1958) was born in New Brunswick, NJ. Meyers apprenticed with a German silversmith in New York, then worked for the Wilcox Roth firm in Newark, eventually taking over the firm. In the late 1920's, he began making miniatures but stopped in 1947 upon his wife's death, to focus on religious hollowware.
