Catalogue Note

Alfredo Sciarrotta was born in Italy, but came to the United States in 1943 as an expert in undersea weapons at the Naval torpedo station in Newport. After the war, he stayed on in Newport as a metal smith, and in the 1950's and 60's, his work was carried by many of America's foremost retailers.
