Catalogue Note

Born in Sicily, Alphonse des La Paglia studied with Georg Jensen in Denmark, then emigrated to the United States. When the war cut off Jensen imports, he made pieces for Frederick Lunning of George Jensen USA, working in Summit, NJ. In 1952, he began working with International Silver and moved his workshop to Meriden, CT only to die the following year.
