Condition

The medium is tempera paint on paper laid down on card. The work is in good overall condition. There are several signs of exposure to some form of liquid or moisture: near the center of the left-hand margin, about 5mm diam; along the bottom margin at right, about 8 cm long, leaving a brown discoloration, not visible in the current matting; near the right edge at center, about 1.5 cm diam, and another, smaller associated droplet mark at the extreme edge (the second of these two covered by the matting. In the margins, particularly along the top and bottom the sheet has a green tone, likely associated with an old mat. The work is painted leaving a few spaces of the sheet bare; sheet has darkened throughout. The medium appears strong and the work presents well.
