Condition

The canvas has been relined. There is some rubbing around the periphery of the canvas. There is craquelure to the blue tones in the foreground, notably the blue drapery arranged around the figure. There is additional very minor stable craquelure around the face and to her proper right cheek. There is scattered instances of very light stable craquelure to the rest of the painting's background. When examined under UV an irregular varnish impedes further reading. The surface is a little dirty and would benefit from a light clean. The painting is in good condition.
