Condition

The canvas has been relined. The pigments are fresh and the surface is clean. There are some minor pin-dots of paint loss to the upper left quadrant in the purple pigments of the hills and some additional minor paint loss to the lower left edge. When examined under UV light, there is a line of retouching to the pigment visible in the sky in the upper right quadrant, measuring 4.5 in. long. This is likely to be the result of old frame abrasion. There is minor craquelure to the green pigments of the right side of the composition. The work is good condition.
