Condition
The board is lightly bowed and affixed to a stretcher. The impasto is lively and well preserved. There is a light diagonal undulation to the surface of the board in the upper left quadrant, measuring approximately 10 inches in length, it does not detract from the overall impression of the work. When examined under UV light, some natural fluorescence is seen by the pigments as well as by an uneven layer of varnish but no indication of any over-painting or retouching. The painting is largely in very good condition.
