Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is affixed to a card mount at all four edges which is in turn laid down on a support and floating in the frame. There are pinholes at each corner and to the centre of each edge. The upper, lower and left edges are deckled. The sheet is time-stained and there are some spots of foxing, predominately along the lower edge. There is a scuff to the sheet at the centre of the upper left edge and another to the centre of the left edge. There is some stable craquelure with very minor associated losses to the thicker black pigment and there is a small circular water stain visible towards the lower left edge which is possibly original. This work is in overall good condition.
