Condition

The canvas is lined. There is a layer of varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, but examination under UV reveals some small spots of minor fluorescence within the sky, possibly pertaining to old retouching. There is a vertical line of pigment loss towards the centre of the composition (approx 3cm. long) and some further spots of pigment loss, primarily to the sky within the upper left quadrant. This work is in overall good condition and could benefit from a light clean.
