Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a layer of varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV reveals no evident signs of retouching. There are pinholes to each corner. There is some craquelure visible, in particular to the white pigment of the clouds, and there are some minor flecks of pigment loss, primarily to the lower left corner and centre of the left edge. There is some minor frame rubbing at the extreme edges and some small spots of surface dirt in places. This work is in overall good condition.
