Condition
The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals no signs of retouching. There is some craquelure visible, predominately to the yellow pigment, and some scattered spots of paint loss, also mainly to the yellow background. There is a minor dent within the canvas surface to the centre of the clown's neck. There is some lovely impasto and this work is in overall good condition.
