Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall fair condition with heavy wear, scuffing, polishing, and markings consistent with use and age. Some oxidation to the pushers and crown. Some loss to the black fill of the bezel markers. Scuffs and scratches to the band. Bracelet with equivalent wear. Links have loosened. Chronograph function activates, but the resetting pusher sticks and may require service prior to use. Case back inscribed "GES III." Crystal with scratches. Dial in very good vintage condition with light wear, and some light debris. Subsidiary dials are nicely defined and sunken. Oxidation to the luminescent dots. Movement in overall good condition but may require service.
