• cal. 12 automatic nickel lever movement, 17 jewels • black dial, applied faceted baton indexes with luminescent markers, luminescent hands, red chronograph hand, engine turned white subsidiary dials for 30 minute, and 12 hour registers, aperture for date at 6, outer minute and 1/5 second divisions • stainless steel case, black bezel calibrated for 400 units, crown to the left side case band, solid screw down case back • case, dial, and movement signed 

Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Chronograph and date functions working properly. Case in very good condition with light surface scuffing and wear, and some signs of polish. Some scratches to the case back and back of lugs. Markers have been relumed. Dial in overall good condition with some oxidation and heavier aging to the white sub dials. 30 minute register with some darker markings radiating from the center arbor. Dial with some overall aging and signs of service. ***Please be advised that the bands on this watch are made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) and thus not sold with the watch, they are for display purposes only. We will remove these bands prior to international shipping.***
