Condition

The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Case in overall good condition with wear, scuffing, and nicks consistent with use and age. Case back chased with a clipper in relief. Small scratches to the bezel between 6 and 7. Bracelet with somewhat heavier wear and scuffing as consistent with use. Chronograph and date function working properly. Dial and movement in excellent condition.

Accompanied by a Vacheron Constantin Certificate of Origin and Guarantee, one leather bi fold booklet, one service booklet, one polishing cloth, two additional links, and a presentation box with outer packaging. 

Vacheron Constantin's Overseas series launched in 1996, as an casual, yet elegant statement piece for global travelers. A second version of the Overseas, of which the present lot belongs, launched in 2004, with a modified case and bracelet optimized for greater comfort. The Overseas II is also larger, fitted with a 42 mm case. The series was recently reinvented in 2016, and remains a truly iconic wristwatch.
